Music Editor, Composer and Sound Editor
David moved to New York from France to obtain a Master’s in Music Technology at NYU’s Steinhardt School and follow his dream of working as a composer and sound engineer in the film industry. During 2013, he has worked as supervising sound editor, sound re-recording mixer and composer on several films from Tisch School Of The Arts. Two of them, Aissa’s Story and Through The Fire, were respectively selected at the Student Academy Awards at semifinals and finals level.
Since a young age, music has been a very important part of David’s life. David has played the piano and guitar for over 20 years and has won several first place awards at the Leopold Bellan foundation in Paris. He is also a proficient tap and salsa dancer, having studied each for over 13 and 8 years, respectively.
David graduated from one of the top-tier French engineering schools, ESIEA, in 2010. There, he obtained a diploma, equivalent to a Master’s degree, in Computer Sciences. During his studies, he undertook two internships at sound post-production studios based in Mexico City: Prado Sur and Look As Audio. In keeping with his studies’ focus on project management and software engineering, he then worked at BNP Paribas Arbitrage (GECD), the leading French bank, as a business analyst, before moving to New York to pursue his masters in Music Technology.Tweet
